Cooking in a Crockpot is never fast. Easy yes, fast, no. A crockpot is a slow cooker, which adds tenderness, and flavor because it is slow.
A basic stew I found is the best dish to come out of a crockpot, put really, whatever is to your liking, add all your ingredients you like at the same time, with water or broth, and it will be delicious, because those ingredients are what you like.
Below are about 1000 recipes, lol, have fun!

Happy Cooking

My favorite stew:
2 1/2 lb stew meat
3 tbs flour seasoned w 2 tsp seasoned salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp each dry thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika

10 oz can beef broth
1/2 c. ketchup
2 tbs worcestershire
2 tsp dry thyme
approx 10 drops (or more) tabasco
1 tbs paprika

1/2 c. sliced onion
1 c. sliced carrots
2 c. diced potatoes (1/2 to 3/4 inch dice)

Place meat & seasoned flour in a ziptop back. Shake to coat, discard excess flour. Place veggies on bottom on 5-6 qt crock pot. Top with meat. Mix together broth, ketchup, worchestershire, thyme, tabasco & paprika; pour over meat. Stir to combine. Cook on low 8-10 hours. You can thicken the gravy, if desired. You can also add more veggies to taste. DO NOT fill crockpot more than 3/4 of the way to the top to avoid spillovers. I like to use 1 tsp smoked paprika & 2 tsp regular in the gravy for a different flavor.

Simple as can be, pork bbq. A 3# pork butt or other cut, dont spend too much, cause the slow cooker makes everthing tender. Just add your favorite bbq sauce, the whole bottle, and put it in your slow cooker for 8 to 10 hours on low. Remove the meat and shred it using 2 forks. Put on buns and enjoy. Could it be any easier?
