when i insert my pictures to my pc using the scanner....the computer saves it as a picture inside a document...i need to make it a jpg picture...any idea or software ?

If the scanner wants to scan "to a program", choose a graphics program and the image should be saved into that program's format (rather than embedded in a Word (or whatever) document). Many scanners come with their own image editing software, so if you save it to that program it should be a jpg file on your disk. Or install a graphics program and save to that. (Gimp and Irfanview are free programs which should work for this.)

Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your scanner and follow the installation instructions to the letter. Then, open the scanner software and click on the Help Tab. All will be revealed.

what format of image does your scanner save when it transfer an image to your computer? you can edit them without using any other software if they are compatible with your ms paint.
1. rifgt click an image, open with paint.
2. then save as, in the lower portion on the dropdown list, you can see many image formats, save them in formats that you like, BMP,JPEG, etc...

Try Calling the Scanner from within a photo application.

In the scanner software you can specify the output type... Check the properties....

try to see the scanner s/w care fully... this option is always there.. if still unable to find tell me the s/w, / application name... or try to use MicroSoft photo editor or any other application ie adobe photoshop corel phote etc...

use the soft ware "ACDSEE"... i use this software to acquire pictures in jpeg form...in "ACDSEE "click on "FILE" menu & select "ACQUIRE ".& the picture will be acquired in jpeg format...so try "ACDSEE"..
