what do u exactly mean by a crackdown. If u keep guns at home illegaly and are caught u will also face same sentence. the only difference is that your case will not be covered by media since u are an ordinary citizen of India. Try killing a protected animal or killing people sleeping on the road under your car, and see what happens to u. If it can happen to an ordinary citizen, why should the same punishment not be meted out to people like sanjay and salman. ARE THEY ABOVE THE LAW just because they are famous. An absolutely lopsided logic that there is a crack down on them. The have erred legally and must be punished legally. it is just as simple as that. no one is above law

There is no crack down now. All these cases are decades old and are coming for judgement only now. If the judiciary had been fast and punished them the same year when they committed the crime, and the media kept off matters which are not of concern to them, you will not have asked such a question. Obviously, you deify these just because they act in films and you think they are above the law and can shoot anybody for pleasure.

There is no crack down.. Do u think celebrities are above law ?. No they aren't.. They should be punished if they violate the law just as an ordinary citizen. They get more media attention and coverage which makes you feel the issue is exaggerated and 'crack down'..

They was to prove that nobody is above law and celebrity status is not the license to violate the law..

A "crackdown"? Lindsay Lohan gets arrested for DWI, Paris Hilton goes to jail for DWLR... how many other, regular type folks do you think are arrested every day for the same offense? There is no "crackdown"; it is only because they are celebrities that their arrests are publicized.

There is NO crackdown. It is just the fact that their status draws more attention when they do something wrong. Think about it, the jails are full and it certainly isn't with just celebrities.
