I'm looking to start a wedding planner business, there are no companies in my town that do this so I have nothing to compare to, can anyone give me any info on doing this
average rates?

If you are a wedding planner/coordinator and are certified, part of your certification course should have detailed how to market and price your services.

If you are not certified, then I strongly suggest you do more research and get certified, clients will take you more seriously. By taking a course you learn all the legal aspects of owning/starting your own business. Without this info you run the risk of being sued or losing money.

in general the average wedding planner in the US is paid 10-15% of the total wedding budget.

We just looked into one and they charged $800-$1700 for anywhere from 40 hours of work to 100 hours of work. Hope this helps.
