Why is it that some couples can have sex for a year + and never get pregnant but then out of nowhere they conceive? but the thing is the had sex everyday r every other day so they wouldnt miss ovulation? makes the time finally right compared to the other times?

There are a thousand variables. A woman's uterine lining must be perfect. The egg must be in the right "location"-- there is only a small window each month ( a few days at best) when she is most fertile. So having sex every day doesn't equal trying to have a kid every day. She must be ovulating.
If you think of it in those terms, you take 3 days from each month and multiply it out for the year, that is 36 "tries". Of those, its possible that an egg was fertilized but didnt attached to the uterine wall, and thus was shed during a period rather than "taking".
Etc, etc....there are lots of variables.

There is no real reason why it happens out of the blue sometimes or why having sex every other day works for some couples but not others. If we knew how these things worked, there would be a whole lot more kiddos in the world. For some couples they need to relax - trying to conceive is very stressful. For others they need to find when she is ovulating - tough when it can not happen one month and/or happen at different times other months. I guess it depends on you, the month and how you're feeling.

Sperm take time to mature so sex every day is not such a good idea every 2-3 days is better
Stress can prevent a woman from conceiving - and prevent a man from having his sperm mature
Instead of trying to get pregnant i suggest to people i know - to just stop trying not to get pregnant - example Lily wants baby - she is gonna try and get pregnant in January 2008 but she stopped taking her bc January 2007 now and they are relaxed and not worrying about sex or babies till then (she got pregnant in march) she want trying to get pregnant yet but she want not either..she was calm and relaxed and it worked out for her nicely - that how i got pregnant 4 times now
Dont worry about testing either don't pay any attention to dates, periods, ovulation etc - just pretend every day is Saturday for a few months, before you know it she will be having morning sickness and be ordering you to get her a pregnancy test!
Little less sex, a lot less stress and bambino will happen when you not expecting it

just how it goes it only takes one time. sometimes taking the stress of conceiving away makes it so you conceive
