As you can see, Donna, the general consensus is not to drink whilst taking anti-epileptic drugs.
Take a look at the following site for more information on Epilim (Depakote). Simply type Epilim or Depakote into the search box at the top right hand side of the screen and press Enter, or press Go.
On the next page, the lettering to the left of the drug name indicates whether it's PIL (Patient Information Leaflet) or SPC (Specialist, and more detailed information).
I didn't see anything about adverse reactions between Epilim and alcohol, but that doesn't necessarily mean that there is none. Many medications potentiate the effects of alcohol. (That means that it makes the effects of alcohol more severe ... something that I've witnessed myself on numerous occasions.)
Best of luck in whatever you decide, though I would add, be careful ... very careful.

No. Alcohol will compete with the enzymes that metabolise you epilem, and can make your blood level dangerously high - or low. All anti-seizure meds are downers. Drinking and downers don't mix.
If I remember correctly, alcohol lowers the seizure threshold by itself.
Take care of yourself, please - no one else can do it for you.

One or two drinks won't hurt anything but avoid getting too much. Anyone that is trying to conceive shouldn't drink alcohol.

Read this apparently 1 or 2 drinks a day wont harm you or the drugs.
Mind you if you've had 400g then I would be surprised to be living. 400mg then may be!

no.. from what I hear alcohol can cause seizures in some people. And if you already have seizures and are on meds I wouldn't. Most meds you can't drink alcohol, you'll have a reaction.

Epilim (Depakote) should NOT be mixed with alcohol. You can look up every online site for this medication and it will tell you not to use alcohol while you are taking this medication. Here are a couple to start with:
