Jr. by far. Kyle still has a lot of maturing to do and I don't think he'll accomplish that before next year.

well, kyle busch is young, and has really good skills and potential, but is still just not as an experienced, mature driver as dale jr is. Dale jr has raced in the cup series since 1998 and has wrecked people and made some comments, but now he is pretty mature and mellow, and kyle is still pretty cocky (hes only 19). So considering hendrick has taken over NASCAR with a storm, and has 2 champions, and winner equipment, I think that Dale jr will have the shot he's been looking for his entire life, because teresa used to cut his funds back to make it more fair, which limited his abilities. Kyle is still gonna be awesome and a force to be reckoned with.... but I just think as excited as Jr is to be on a new winning team, he will naturally be better......

Kyle Busch is hands down the better driver between the 2. It doesn't always have to do with the car... just look at Jeff Gordon, 9 times out of 10 he has the best car on the track but doesn't always get the win. Kyle will do better than Dale Jr. just on the fact that he is a better driver than him, I don't care if Jr. has a rocket strapped the back of his car... Kyle will find more success with his new team.

Dale Jr. and I don't say that just because I'm a Hendrick Motorsports fan.. I actually am still 50/50 on whether to cheer for the new Hendrick compadre'.. I'm still upset that they are letting him drive a diff. # than that 5... It's Hendrick tradition to have that 5 in the stable and it's BULLSHIT that Rick is letting him walk in and change it. Ok, Enough ranting...
Mainly I think you have to look at it like this.. Dale Jr is stepping into a PROVEN winning car, and team. He's going to be a contender, hands down. As for Kyle, Sure.. The 18 has won a title in the past, and alot of races.. But look @ it's stat since Labonte left that ride. JJ hasn't faired so well in that car, and I really believe that's not his fault. JJ is class A driver, and is going to do well in NASCAR if he gets another chance w/ a caliber team that is able to work w/ him. Not even Kyle's proven talent is enough to step into that 18 garage and make it a winning car. It's going to take time, and next year is not going to be the time.. I hate it for Kyle, but he chose that team. There will be even bigger stepping stones for Kyle if they decide to goto Toyota also! That would set the 18 team even further back I think..

Dale, Jr. says he is going to be running a number with an 8 in it next year so he probably won't be driving the #5. I think Kyle Busch will be stronger in the #18 at Gibbs and will be higher in the points.

I think it will be Kyle Busch. This kid has some awesome talent. I am not so sure that a new team will help Jr. I really do not think he is a champion caliber driver. Yes he has won a few races in the past, yet he is not very consistent. We will find out if it is Jr. or if he has been stuck in bad equipment. Kyle Busch should be in championship contention, again next season, as long as Gibbs stays with Chevy.

Personally? I think that Dale, Jr. will do better. Hendrick has the money for R&D that Gibbs just doesn't seem to spend.
And, if the rumors are remotely true and JGR switches to Toyota next year, they will be starting with a clean sheet of paper in regards to engine design and race set-ups.
Both Busch and Dale, Jr. are good drivers but while there are no questions about Busch's cars, we can always say that DEI had some equipment problems. If Dale can't do well in a Hendrick car then maybe he just isn't the racer we think he is.

I'd have to go with Kyle. Yeah, Hendrick has the money, but now they have more cars with bigger stars = more conflict!
I can see Gibbs really putting the money out to Kyle. He's a young talented racer with an attitude just like Tony Stewart. Tony and Kyle will make up from the past and really turn into a powerful combo. Plus, Kyle I think wants to prove something to Hendrick. I can see Kyle really having a break out season next year.

I would also say Dale Jr. in a Hendrick car over Kyle Busch in a Gibbs car. I think the cars that each will be provided each week will be somewhat close to each other in quality, with the Hendrick car probably getting a slight edge. After that, it comes down to driver talent, and they're both good drivers, so in the end I'd say the new #5 over the new #18.

That is a great question. I think Kyle is the more aggressive driver but Dale Jr. is more disciplined and smoother. I think the deciding factor will be the teams though. The #18 bunch has struggled for years and the #5 bunch is on top of their game. Dale Jr. should definitely do better than Kyle in '08.

i think of it replaced right into a step interior the properly suited direction for the two one in each of them. Kyle is triumphing now, that's something he did no longer do a great number of while he belonged with HMS. Jr. is a real contender now, in great equipment, and no blown engines! Kyle is first in factors, and Jr. is 0.33 in factors, and that they have been that way lots of the season. Kyle has under no circumstances contended for a championship like he's doing this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and it incredibly is been an incredibly long term for the reason that Jr. has. i'm confident they're the two rather happy with their strikes.
