Can you give a few more details? What sort of jewelry do you want to make?

If you want to do basic beaded jewelry, just pick up a book on beading jewelry and check out http://www.firemountaingems.com for excellent materials at a great price.

If you are interested in learning to do silver or gold metalsmithing, it will be a fair bit more complicated. I would recommend looking into a product called Precious Metal Clay (PMC) as a good way to start exploring that sort of jewelry making.

i'm into beading so i can help. beading is a kinda expensive when you start out in the begining. if you try ur local craft store, they should have a small section on beading. you need round-nose pliers, soft wire cutters, chain nosed pliers, crimps, clasps, and beading wire. i recommend 0.015 diameter wire with 19 strands. beading wire is made by taking many strands of wire, twisting them together and coating it with nylon. the number of strands says how many strands are used. I suggest the brand Beadlon.
try this site: www.michaels.com
then just pick up a book on beading or try an internet site.
i hope i helped.
