No. Love is reciprocal. An inanimate object cannot reciprocate.

No. People may think they do, but that just isn't reality is it? An inanimate object cannot return the feelings, since it has no brain, or a life. It cannot feel, it cannot move, it cannot think. Love is a word overly used to show simple liking for something, or someone. The misuse of the word Love is insulting to the word itself.

People say they "love" all kinds of things, but that's not real love. Love is pure attention and concern for the well being of another. Inanimate objects have no need for well being.

Love is an emotion that is usually not mediated by rationality, so people can love anything they want, even if the object of their affection is inanimate or imaginary.

OF COURSE... The "inanimate object" may hold sentimental value, and that's why you may love it so much. Love doesn't necessarily have to be recuperated, as it can hold a special place in your heart. It can remind you of somebody, someplace, something, OR ANYTHING !!! Love is when something, or someone has a special place in your heart. And that includes objects TOO !!

Sure. Lots of people love their "stuff". Some people pray to inanimate objects like buddah and other idols. I wouldn't recommend it because what is the use in loveing something that can't love back.

I love my hatchetman, my girlfriend, my guitar and Captain Morgan.

The reason I put Captain Morgan last is because alcohol, for all I care, is the last thing I need.

But the thing I love most of all is being Atheist!!!
