Yep. In about five billion years our sun will have expended all of it's hydrogen fuel and will begin to expand beyond earths orbit. When that happens, we're all toast.

-YOU SOUND like you think it is a slow lazy process!

--THE DRASTIC END has been described as "The end of the world"; "Conclusion of the system(wicked) of things"; "End of the world"--SHOULD BE heeded if indeed God is the main impetus of its coming!
--SUCH A DRASTIC happening was foretold some 2500 years ago and is in reference to God's on coming battle of "Armageddon"
(Jeremiah 25:31-33) “. . .“‘A noise will certainly come clear to the farthest part of the earth, for there is a controversy that Jehovah has with the nations. He must personally put himself in judgment with all flesh. As regards the wicked ones, he must give them to the sword,’ is the utterance of Jehovah. 32 “This is what Jehovah of armies has said, ‘Look! A calamity is going forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest itself will be roused up from the remotest parts of the earth. 33 And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the ground they will become.’”

--ARE WE IN IT? Jesus stated this unique prophecy to be fulfilled one time in history, after being asked some questions:
(Matthew 24:3) “. . .While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?..... “7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress...... 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off!
--NOT JUST HERE & there but all through the earth with increasingly evil trademarks!

--WHEN DID THIS START:*** ce chap. 18 pp. 227-229 The Bible—Is It Really Inspired by God? ***
--1914—The Turning Point in History
30 From the human standpoint, the world troubles and global wars foretold in the Bible were far from the thinking of the pre-1914 world. German statesman Konrad Adenauer said: “Thoughts and pictures come to my mind, . . . thoughts from the years before 1914 when there was real peace, quiet and security on this earth—a time when we didn’t know fear. . . . Security and quiet have disappeared from the lives of men since 1914.”25 People living before 1914 thought that the future “would get better and better,” reported British statesman Harold Macmillan.26 The book 1913: America Between Two Worlds notes: “Secretary of State Bryan said [in 1913] that ‘conditions promising world peace were never more favorable than now.’”27
--31 So, right up to the very brink of World War I, world leaders were forecasting an age of social progress and enlightenment. But the Bible had foretold the opposite—that the unprecedented war of 1914 to 1918 would highlight the beginning of “the last days.” (2 Timothy 3:1) The Bible also provided chronological evidence that 1914 would mark the birth of God’s heavenly Kingdom, to be followed by unprecedented world trouble.28 But was anyone living back then aware that 1914 would be such a turning point in history?
--32 Decades before that date, there was an organization of people who were making known the significance of 1914. The New York World of August 30, 1914, explains: “The terrific war outbreak in Europe has fulfilled an extraordinary prophecy. For a quarter of a century past, through preachers and through press, the ‘International Bible Students’ [Jehovah’s Witnesses] . . . have been proclaiming to the world that the Day of Wrath prophesied in the Bible would dawn in 1914. ‘Look out for 1914!’ has been the cry of the . . . evangelists.”29

The world will end when God says it will not one second sooner. What we are seeing daily are the prophesies of Revelation being revealed in our news headlines (earthquakes in diverse places, changing weather patterns, famine, plagues, wars, and rumors of war). It is my belief that the 4 horsemen spoken of are already here and when the last one is loosed the end will come.

Yes, we are all going to die. This isn't going to happen anytime soon, though. Not in the next 100 years, or even 3000 years... when the sun becomes a Supernova, then we're pretty much dead no matter what.

Actually we are overdue for a magnetic polar change. Every couple of tens of thousands of years the magnetic poles switch north to south and the weather gets all messed up.

Nothing is constant but change.

Yes, as a metaphor of our mortality. Your world ends when you die. People die everyday. We will all die. The World is ending!

We're all coming to an end. The moment we are born, we begin to die. Gaia is no different. *put's on depressive H.I.M song* ... *sigh* ... ... *big sigh* ... ;-)
