Write a little story book for him...look at books for his age group and then make your own....simple examples of how the best men behave in relation to women....speaking kindly, doing them little services....end it with a good situation that the boy character gets in due to his nice manners....

Well, at that age, he would learn better by example. I'm sry you're in the situation you are.
The only thing I can think of is a way to keep up w/ practical things, like saying yes ma'am to his mom (all kids should, I think) and even holding the door open for her. Ask him how many times he remembered that day, or last couple of days, however often you talk to him on the phone, and make it a positive thing, instead of a chore. You could both have a game going, seeing how often you open doors for women (this is just an example of something he can prolly do) compared to him, etc.

Call him on the phone and have little talks with him. Tell him that it is not cool to not repsect women, especially his mom because she is always there for him, and taking care of him. When you are with him let him see you opening doors for women, treating them with respect, and NEVER under ANY circumstances, EVER badmouth his mom to him, NO MATTER WHAT.
I live in Washington state also...where do they live. I live about an hour N.E. of Seattle.

Take control. You are the adult.... The fact that your ex-wife has so many men in her life might be confussing the child....I am seperated as well... and when I have a boyfriend I do it on my time..I learned my lesson..my boys would become attacted and then you know.....
My kids come first now!!
I just keep telling them respect women....or I am your mother don't talk to me like that......etc

His mom needs to quit bringing people into her life that are also around him that disrespect her. That is her own fault. Kids learn the most by mimicking what they say and how they are raised. Have him come live with you for a while.

its all on you. you will have to be a very good role model. show him evrytime you see him how to treat women, never once disrespect them or say anything wrong. he is going to look to you, you have to find more time for him. if she knows this is happening and wants something done, she is going to have to date better men or not involve them with your son until she knows its a good thing for him. she really needs to keep her dating away from the kid. goodluck.
