It usually contains eggs and/or dairy in the form of mayo and buttermilk. A low-fat version might use gelatin as a thickener, but I'm not sure. If you don't mind eating eggs and milk as byproducts, it's probably fine. There's a chance that there would be whey, which is often made with rennet, but you would need to check the label itself.

It's buttermilk, mayo (like Miracle Whip), and a packet of ranch seasoning. That has onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and other additives. I don't actually mind it, even after whipping up gallons of it over the years.
