I am sorry if it appears that I am on some kind of mission here.I am not trying to get everyone to go to the work place and start preaching about Jesus.Recently a very good brother of mine was premoted at his work place.I might add that this brother is a very fine Minister as well.He is one of the Lords anointed. There is one stipulation though, by excepting this he can't talk about God.

If the Holy Spirit asked me to speak to someone about God, I would do so.I will not be bullied or ashamed to talk about my Lord. It may be that that particular person needed to hear the word one more time before giving his life to Christ. God will lead the way to another job if I got fired.
I cannot believe the times we are living in.
I watched a documentary on the history of Muslims last night. They see the US as infidels and vow to rid this world of us. I'm speaking of the extremist. And they are here. Being made CEO's, buying businesses and when they get into a powerful position they will forbid us talking about God. I will not back down. "There are those who will be persecuted for MY name". said Jesus.

Don't speak about it in the workplace. There are many reasons why religion shouldn't be discussed in the workplace.

It can cause dissension among workers.

It can take an employee's attention away from his work.

It can cause the formation of groups which would be detrimental to the morale of the workplace as a whole.

It could violate the rights of others if they find it offensive.

It can decrease production within the workplace as a whole.

It can cause a good employee to quit, if they don't agree and don't want to be exposed to it.

Need I go on? It's not that I'm not for spirituality. I am. There is a time and a place. Unless you are working within a position of ministry, it is inappropriate.

What the HOly Spirit says to do, you do period. I know I have been in this situation, and even tho we were told we couldnt talk about God at work, unless somene asked, God gave us the wisdom to say things that would cause them to ask. YOu cant silence Gods ppl, no matter how hard you try. Even when we dont speak it, we also live our lives in a way where ppl see it, and that too is powerful testimony. But if we allow the Holy Spirit to talk to us and truly hear, we will always find a way to do what God calls us to do, and it wont usualy require us losing our job, but if it does, God will bring a better job. Never do we disobey God. never. if we do, we go to ---- you are correct. NOt my words, but Gods. I gotta correct you on one little thing tho. On here, we are supposed to cautiously pick and choose our words to not offend. But when you said you arent on a mission, of course you are and its ok. No need to deny. Your mission is to tell the world about Jesus as we are commanded to do. And its ok. All have the free choice to hear and obey or reject it all. God gives that right, and we are to give it too But still we live and speak the truth always. Gods mission is our mission. Just stand and it all will come.

That's a tricky question because God wants us to be witnesses so He does have a plan for your friend. Sometimes our actions as christians speak louder than words. It has been my experience that if I say nothing I feel like I've let Him down but sometimes saying nothing was exactly what I needed to do. I'd assure him that being a christian and behaving appropriately will get him a good start and those people will notice. When the opportunity arises that he does get a chance to witness then we need to have faith that God is going to provide.

I would speak up and tell whatever the Lord says, to ignore and/or not tell the message that is to be delivered might result in God questioning the faith of His servant.

If your brother gets fired from his job, God will provide another job for him. The Lord works in mysterious ways, and at times we do not understand. However, at some point the trial and/or lesson from this situation will be reveled to your brother.

God Bless.

I would obey God and thank Him for my future job. He wouldn't allow me to be placed in this position unless He had a better plan or a new place for me to go. A soul is more precious. It is better to obey God than rules of men. As you know, men look on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart. Would I take something temporary (money) in exchange for something eternal - say like a soul? No way! One day that person may be hugging me and thanking me in heaven. What are 30 pieces of silver compared to the priceless soul?! I would simply turn down a job if it meant I had to compromise.

I would still be obedient to God because he controls everything. And he's not going to put more on me then I can bear. God is not going to set you up for failure. What is for you will be for you and no one can take that away. But if the Holy Spirit tells you to do something you should do it no matter the cost. Jesus was willing to do whatver it took so that we could be redeemed. So what's a job? Nobody's asking you to get up on a cross and die!

This sort of thing happened to me. I was 'let go' from a position because I had spoken a Biblical truth. God always wins in the end and if this friend is as great a minister as you say, my guess is that he is out looking for another job.

Your brother should talk to this person outside the work place. We ought to be obedient to our employer.....and when your brother took this job he knew what the stipulations were.

God has many ways to open doors that would be 'legal'. Your brother could make friends with this person outside work, live the life of a Christian before him, be there to answer his questions, and to witness when the Lord says to.

Blessings to you, my friend, and to your brother. Jesus loves you and so do I !

He cannot talk in the workplace maybe. What about outside the workplace? The laws of the land overshadow the laws of the state. Unless it offends the person being talked to it is as legal as breathing. So I would say YES it is up to the other person to receive it or not. My question is this. Who is YOUR provider? God is mine and not my employer. God is the one who provided the job in the first place.
