I'm 26 now and I really don't want to have kids. I will never say never, b/c you never know. But that is my decision right now. I also don't really want to get married either. I've always been an ambitious, independent kind of person who never dreamed of the family life (marriage, house, kids, dog, etc).

The thing is, when I tell people this they look at me like I'm some horrible person. I'm not putting anyone else's choices down or anything. I just don't want these things for myself and I'm glad I can be honest with myself. I see so many parents who should have never reproduced.

Anyone else chose not to have kids and never regretted it?

I never wanted to have kids, never did and was never sorry. Now that I am not physically able to have kids I am still not sorry. If you feel that way stick with it. Don't let other people make you feel bad or anything. It's not their life or their decision.

*raises hand* I'm 42 and have known since I was a kid that I didn't want any of my own. I've never regretted my decision for a moment.

If you choose to be childfree, then be that! There are too many people out there having kids that don't have business caring for a pet rock, much less another human.

It is your decision to have kids or not. Maybe a few years from now you will change your mind.. but its ok not to have kids..

I personally do want kids - but my best friend doesn't. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. People are different and want different things.

Do what you want. =)

Sounds like you know where your going in life. Keep it up. Not all women were made to have kids. Some that have them now don't deserve them. I see nothing wrong with not having children or getting married.

in all probability enable somebody else % via fact the prospect is 50/50 like in frequently is, and there is an probability of him living a existence without being teased. And to answer the guy above me. If being homosexual replaced right into a decision, then who might % it? Who might decide to be teased all their existence? Why might they devote suicide in the event that they choosed it?

kids make your generation multiply dont be selfish, have kids so they can see how the world is like and explore, if your parents said they didnt want kids you wouldnt even have to make this decision, dont be selfish have kids, they are te future and if you dont want to get married be a nun lol so ppl dont look at you like the 40 year old virgin when your 40

Wow!!! I finally realized there's still people with brains out there. Kids are not everything in life like many people think, plus they don't bring any type of benefit either. Congratulations for making the right decision!!!
