A doctor should NEVER prescriber antibiotics unless they can find a cause of infection. Overuse of them can cause her body to reject them when she really needs them. I would take her to a different doctor or your local Children's Hospital if her fever does not get better.

Also might be a some kind of a virus that the body is fighting. My youngest is popular wiht ear infections and at time he have high fever has well like that. I take to the doctor and say there no ear infection. He said is body is fighting some kind of virus and it would go away. It might be teething I have two boys and haven't seen them getting fever when they are teething. Keep giving her medicine for the fever and give her room temperature bath and just let her weather a diaper to keep the temperature down. Good luck and hope she be feeling better.

My daughter did get some fevers with her teeth, too. I don't know if they were quite that high, but at least 101. We always gave her infant Tylenol and it would go down. Maybe yours is getting a big molar or something. But if you think it's something else, go back to the doctor and make them look harder. You're the parent and usually have a better idea of what is normal for your child.

Teething can cause a fever. My daughter had the same thing happen, and on day 3 or 4 the fever broke and she got a rash on her tummy n chest. It ended up being rosiolla. She then screamed for 5 days because she had such a terrible headache.

Could be a virus. My daughter had the same thing once and that's all the doctor could tell us. There are some viruses where the only symptom is a fever and you have to wait it out until the virus runs its course. As long as she doesn't develop any new symptoms and it's gone in a couple of days, I wouldn't worry about it.

my son went through this when he first started daycare yrs ago and he constantly stayed sick and fever and throwing up and all kinds of symptoms and they never could find anything wrong they just kept telling me it was something viral and it would pass, but it sure does make you worry i know, i just made sure he was comfortable and kept plenty of fluids in him and treated the fevers when it got real bad and he finally did come out of it, but not until after i had to end up switching day cares because i was worried someone was doing something to him because he would get better after being home and then the same night after going back to daycare it would start all over again. just keep an eye on her, if it is viral it will pass and if it is teething (the doctor told me this is not true) that will pass to so just hang in there and make sure with fluids and all that and she should be fine

When my daughter did that, at about 11 months, it was pneumonia and took several weeks to be diagnosed.
If the fever doesn't subside, take her back to the doctor every 2-3 days. Watch her appetite and her behavior. Keep her from wearing herself out, too.

My children ran fevers with teething all the time. Doctors say no but I say yes... I sometimes check the mouth for white gums when my children ran fevers with any other symtoms. Good luck.

It could be teething. Try not to get too worried unless her temp reaches 104, (in which case you should take her to the hospital). Rotate between Children's Tylenol and Motrin, have her rest, use cold compresses and give her extra lovin'. I'm sending prayers your way and God Bless! I hope she feels better soon.

to nock down the fever give her 1/2 dose baby Motrin and 1/2 dose baby Tylenol. that is what pediatrician said for my girls she could be teething but it wont put her temp up that high. give her luke warm baths and see a diffrent dr for her. has she had immunization shot? those always made my girls run bad fevers.
she is in my prayers.
good luck.
