Religion + spirituality = reality + some other combination of letters and stuff that don't make sense right, so why combine the 2, its a mathematical ineqaulity??
if people would only hear me out, because if you divide them, it makes more sense, religion / spirituality = 4, which makes more sense, since we have 4 (5-1=4) fingers and toes, 4 (5-1) senses, smell, taste, hear, smell, and sight???

Religion, for the most part, already contains some aspect of spirituality to it. Otherwise, a collection of ceremony and moral codes would just be a lodge. There's a difference between a religion and something like the Elks Club.
As for playing around with numbers, you can take ANY number and play around with it long enough until you find things in it that you "like". There's no reason to think that 4 is any more of a special number than 3 or 5.

Spirituality is a part of all of us, even when we do not believe in its various manifestations. Each of us has our perfect fit.
Religion is like a badly fitting coat. No matter which one you choose, it will not fit perfectly with your own beliefs. When combined with spirituality, it looks terrible. Frayed and threadbare, with bits hanging about all over the place.
However there are parts (sometimes very large parts) of religion that DO fit perfectly. Maybe to make our coat into a perfect fit, we should take these perfectly fitting parts and combine THEM before combining the finished product with our spirituality.
Then not only do we LOOK smarter, but we also feel more comfortable.

Really Jesus did not bring us religion that is something man has distorted true spirituality to. Christ brought freedom in relationship with both him and our Father man has done what they always have done turned it into a list of rules and regulations.
