It wasn't that long ago we had to get around by horse and buggy, use snail mail and had no weapons that could wipe out humanity.

GOD has always uses the Heavens and Earth to show his power over humanity..
When Jesus died on the cross, what happened?
Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour, there was darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Some of those who stood there, when they heard that said, "This man is calling for Elijah." The rest said, "Let him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save him." And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks rocks were split; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, Final Generation since 1948.

If there is not resurrection from the dead, then the Christian faith is futile. However, the veil was torn in half, marking a new era. We have access to enter boldly before the throne of God in prayer.

Eschatology is a wide open subject, "the end times." A Biblical generation is 40 years. Perhaps a time of grace.
In studying Covenants, Dispensations of time, chronology, and other resources, yes we are living in the "end times."

Even if we are wrong with the timetable, the Apostle Paul wrote in such a way that we are to live as if it is the "end times."

In the latter days knowledge will increase. Daniel saw it.

Daniel 12:4
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Cars, trains and planes run to and fro.
Computers have greatly increased knowledge.

The greatest sign is the Jews returning to Israel and it becoming a nation in one day speaking the original language in 1948. Even May 15, 1948 was discovered in the Bible by Grant Jeffrey. The Bible is awesome truth. Only God could write such truth.

The "final generation 1948" stuff is the invention of a huckster named Chuck Smith, who insisted that Jesus would return by May of 1981 in a number of his books and messages. When the May prediction failed the date was moved to December 31, 1981. Then the claim was quietly dropped.

A biblical generation is 40 years. The "Final Generation" you say started in 1948 ended in 1988. If you weren't raptured then, you must be one of us sinners.

Sorry, toots.

Except that it is god that is going to destroy everything , not man.

Or are you saying that God only just got the power to do this?

You really are scraping the bottom of the barrel on this one aren't you?

There's always been technology. Horses and buggies are technology.

All of it is irrelevant. Jesus said he would return in that generation. He never did.

The last days are here...again.

People have said we were in the End Times in the 1970's 80's and 90's. It's not so different from now and then either.

Still the past, and still technologically advanced.
