Hi,

Would it be worth to spend 65$(CAN $) to buy the book Egyptian Grammar to study the hieroglyphs and the Egyptian language?

Thanks.

it's an old book and obsolete in many respects.

Learning the Egyptian language/grammer (if current) would be a considerable help in understanding and learning heiroglyphs. But I am not familiar with this book or author, $65 dollars sounds a little on the pricey side, so it had better be good, (well above average).
You might want to check out some books by E.A. Wallis Budge, (noted Egyptologist). His books are a great help in understanding heiroglyphs and the three various types. The types of heiroglyphs used vary according to time periods.
Hope this helps.

It's a really hard language to learn. I personally would not buy it myself i have the translated version of the book of the dead. One side is English and the other is in heirglyphs and how to say it. There is also a book called The Scribe but i don't think it that great. The speeking is hard but if you learn what the symbols are alone and together it is easier to translate

Ex. Rn(egyptian alphabet letter"N" and means mouth)

Ren(english way to say it)

I think if you are truly trying to master it then yes, but if you're just learning it just because then no. Also try to see if you can get it cheaper somewhere on line.
