Why do you need the oven to cook?
Get some Hamburger Helper and make it quick.
They have all kinds of stuff. All you need to is brown the beef; 10 minutes tops.
I would think grilling out in the hot temps would be worse.

well you could grill the burger as usual and then when its done put it on a tortilla shell and add some cheese and salsa. and make a wrap out of it. you could also form the meat into longer thiner patties to fit long ways on the tortilla.

i had seen on tv a stuffed burger. they put saran wrap over the lid of a mayo jar. put a layer of meat in it
stuff with cheese and bacon and onions.
put another layer of meat over it and press edges to seal it.
don't over fill.
grill accordingly
you can also mix things in the meat...
you can put bbq sauce on them, taco seasoning. onion soup mix. grated cheese in to the meat too.
top with avacado and bacon, spicy cheese, make taco burgers, salsa burger

You could take some bacon wrap it around the sides hold it with toothpicks, Or you could also try different kinds of meats. Pork chops are fairly inexpensive, chicken is always on sale at your supermarkets.

You can stuff the insides of them with cheese, and you can use different once, mozzerlla, brie, american, cheddar, etc etc.
Also try grilling fruit like pears for dessert and serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
