They do believe a Messiah will come, they just don't believe Jesus is the Messiah.

According to Christianity, they are rejecting God's son, but they don't believe they are. They say we made the mistake.

Paul the Apostle struggled with this question too. Read Romans 9-11. He even said He would forfeit his own election as an Apostle if that would bring the Jews into union with Jesus in a visible way. Ultimately Paul determined that there was a Mystery at work here in this that human reasoning could not fathom. Paul did affirm that God's Call and Election of the Jews was permanent and would be realized in some way beyond his calculations. While Today there is still a sizeable Jewish community not united to Christ in Faith perhaps they are united to Christ in some other way. Perhaps by Love. Notice how Jews are often at the forefront of social causes protecting the poor, lifting up the downtrodden, freeing the captives in so many societies around the world. I believe that would be what Jesus would be doing today as well. Separating the Sheep from the Goats is the prerogative of God alone. We risk our own inclusion if God's Reign if we try to determine what God is doing using our own criteria. The sheep that God has that may not be of the one fold may well be these others outside the bounds of Christian Faith. Let God be God. One pattern obvious in the Hebrew Scriptures is how the Firstborn Son somehow always defects from this privileged position. Remember the Firstborn Son is the Family Priest. So this loss is a tragedy/ Yet God manages to use another Son to achieve what had been promised. As Paul said the Reign of God still comes about when the Firstborn Son(The Jews) may not be living up to what is promised and the Outsiders(Non-Jews) are called to fill in. God gets done with what is promised through the Secondary Sons in order that the Firstborn may be attracted back. Abel in stead of Cain; Issac instead of Ishmael; Moses instead of Aaron; David instead of all His brothers; Joseph instead of the other eleven. Are the others damned? God alone knows and we do not need to.

Jews don't recognize Jesus as being God's 'son'. He is not of the tribe, Levi. The Israelites recognized this tribe as the Holy ones, as do the Jews. Jesus was born a Nazarene, from the tribe of Judah. He is a descendant of King David and has many important relatives as noted throughout the bible that God loved dearly. However, the Jewish people cannot blame themselves as having killed our 'Savior'. Ironically, God knew this would be the case, it was part of His plan all along.

I heard a Jewish stand up once get into these details and he said when God's son comes to earth, whether it be his 1st time, as the Jews are still waiting for or as Christian people are waiting for the return and He is asked, Is this your first or second appearance. He will answer YES.

The Jews were God's chosen people and He proved that by sending Jesus in their midst. Jesus was born a Jew and not any other nationality. If the Jews rejected Christ as God's son, it is because they did not believe that a son of God came from among them, a human being and from a poor family. They expected the son of God to come in full glory, with an army of his own.

Out of the Jews came that Son. That is why they were chosen. Abraham was the father of both the Jews and the Gentiles. He had a son, "Ishmael" that represented the Gentiles (people other than the Jews) by Hagar, the maid servant of Sarah. He had his son Isaac, by his wife Sarah, which is where the Jewish nation stems from. Read Matthew 1.
God choose all to come to Him (Whosoever will let him come) but few choose it. We have a choice in the matter. God gives us free will. So you can say those that reject Jesus in any nationality is choosing disaster because they have not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Hi and good morning....I wish I could answer this one but I can't, to be honest. I had watched 'The Passion of Christ' last night and I learned a few things from this movie that I didn't know before and I thought I knew quite a lot from reading the Bible. In fact, I had to go back to the Bible and see what had been written. I don't judge or slander or even question other faiths of another because they believe in their own religion and what they have been taught in their cultures. Yes, Jesus was a Jew. he was called a Rabbi. Which to me means 'teacher' of one's faith. Just like a priest or a minister in other religions of faith. Now I may be wrong on this so don't quote me, but in my understanding about the Jewish faith that their religion doesn't believe that the 'Messiah' has come yet. To us Christians we believe that 'Jesus' was the Messiah. God's son. Now, Jesus was born a Jew since that was the primary religion for that time era and the country He lived in. The new concept of Jesus being the Messiah was unheard of in the Jewish faith since they believed that Jesus could not have been God's son. They believed in God but they couldn't believe that Jesus could have been the 'son of God'. The Jews had a very hard time believing in this concept. Still today the Jewish faith believes that the Messiah has not yet come. The Jews in Jesus time, I feel were afraid of a new religion being born so do speak. When someone is afraid of not knowing they intend to 'get rid of the source' so do speak, instead of the knowledge in learning what it's about so with this in mind the Jews decided to get rid of the source instead of being taught the aspects of a new religion. To their way of thinking there was only one true religion and that was their Jewish faith. Believing in their "One true God" not the ideal of having the 'Son of God' being present. This is my opinion. Have a blessed day!

The Jews WERE Gods chosen people,The message about a Heavenly kingdom was extended to the nations after Jesus death aprox. 2000yrs. ago.Gods protection was taken away and the Romans were allowed to move and devastate the Jewish nation as a whole.Jesus warned the Jews and only some faithful ones escaped the discruction.Thousands of the people of the nations and the Jews accepted the Good News and were blessed by Gods holly spirit.

Read Genesis then move on reading each book as it is written you will find the truth. God Chose the Jews because they were a imprisoned people they were slaves to the Egyptians so he chose to free them from slavery. Then led them through a 40 yr walk through the desert and their shoes ,clothes and tents never wore out or anything. Now if 40 yrs have passed and your parents, parents, grand parents weren't happy about the situation so they passed down memories that were strong that were of bad experiences then your mind would be set against following "Their God." Jesus comes on the scene in Genesis 3:15 and comes to life in the new covenant that God made with the Jews and with all believers of the Bible = B.aspic I.instruction B.fore L.eaving E.arth.
Jesus is now the Savior and Lord of all that John 3:3 apply to. You need to search your heart and ask God to reveal all truth to you. Your own study is required and will bring you the truth you are looking for someone Else's ideas will lead you astray.

Because God does the choosing. BTW there are many Jews who do believe in Jesus. (See the websites below)

How many times a day do we all reject His Son? Not just the Jews. We are all given the opportunity to accept Jesus and the Jews are no different really to the rest of us in that respect.

Another mistake we make in religious circle. God's chosen people are the Israelites (the twelve house of Israel/Jacob). The Jews (of Judaism) are only a small part of this group, however, the devil has managed, with the help of the Jews, to cut off the other tribes in favor of the Jews. We can all see the end result of this cruel and wrong anomaly. Christians (and some Jews) confuse Jew with Israel.
I must add that Israel is not a land or location as the Jews claim. We all, again, can see the result of this anomaly in the middle east. The devil seems to be winning!

In my opinion :
There is no difference between a Jew that rejects the Son, and anybody else who rejects the Son ?
Should a Jew accept the Son, is he/she still a Jew ?
It is all about different attitudes, for example - Egyptians and Israelites, the believer and the unbeliever, what stops an Egyptian repenting and becoming an Israelite ? It is a three day journey from Egypt to Jerusalem...a spiritual journey, as is everything which has to do with the Kingdom.
Pse read Gal 3 versus 27-29, try and look at things from a different angle...names and places have no physical bearing any more when it comes to the scriptures, that is why Jesus spokein parrables.
