While the book was MUCH better, I'd have to say that 'The Hunt for Red October' was by far the best of the Clancy movies.

None of the other movies have anything resembling the suspense that comes as the Red October is weaving through Red Route 1, or as they engage in the battle with the Alpha.

Patriot Games, of course! It got really cool when those Irish terrorists raided Ryan's house commando-style.

I'm ordinarily not a big fan of Tom Clancy - he never served in the military because he didn't want to be anything less than an officer. But some of the movies and videogames based or tied-in with his novels are great.

None of them. They all suck. Read the books. They're much better, no matter what "insert author whose book was turned into a movie" it is.
