I just had to deal with this same problem. I transferred to a different card at 3.99% for the life of the loan! and the other one lost my business. It is just like shopping around to get better deals.

Perfect? Your FICO score is 850?

Somehow I doubt that someone with an 850 FICO would be on Yahoo answers asking if his 11.99% rate is the best rate.

Anyway, unless you are carrying a balance or much of a balance your APR shouldn't be a major concern. If you pay it off every month, then annual fee, rewards and other perks should be a priority

There are other credit cards with lower rates. get a new card and transfer the balance.

You could also just pay off your credit card every month and not worry about the interest rate.

There's definitely lower rates out there! Take a look here for several credit cards with rates below 8%:

If you can't get your current credit card company to lower your rate, you might consider trying to apply for another offer. If you're approved, you can use that as a 'bargaining tool' to try and get your rate lowered. If they still won't budge, you can always accept the new offer!

I would cut those ccs into little pieces and pay them off. Of course, if you paid your entire balance every month, it wouldn't matter what the APR was.
