Was Jesus waiting in front of the courthouse, or was that just one of those phoney speeches, again!?

Religion and phony go hand-in-hand. This type of emotional appeal to religious affiliation is sickening. It is a meaningless appeal because religion is a poor predictor of morality.

If anything, religion is a mark against someone being a moral person. It means that the person has been spoon-fed a list of rules and discouraged from even questioning any of them. That's not something to brag about, except that the emotional appeal will score with some jurors and judges. That's sad.

This type of religious bias is yet another way that religion harms society.

I was there in person this morning, as well as the last time he walked into the courthouse.

The first time his body language was arrogant and prideful. The crowd was insanely loud with boos.

Today, his body language was significantly different. He seemed much more "normal" and less prideful.

The vibe from the crowds and the entire atmosphere was different today.

I don't know if he's sincerely found Jesus.

But often times, we have to hit bottom to see that Jesus is the only way back up.

Pride {goes} before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling. Proverbs 16:18

Godspeed.

I just watched the speech....he blames his killing, hanging, electrocuting and having rape cages, where little girl dogs spent their whole lives being raped,,,on being immature.....and making poor decisions. It wasn't immature,,it was cruel and horrid, actions on his part. That is why I do doubt his sincerity....he doesn't seem to grasp what a sicking, shocking thing he has done.

I hope he found Jesus....I find a little hope in that he didn't just use the name of God as so many do, but actually used the name of Jesus. Who knows? I am having trouble forgiving him and I know I have to.....let's pray for him. That is all I can say.

IMO, he's using it as a excuse, just like all the stars that check themselves into rehab and then checkout the next day. He finally pleaded guilty because he knew he would lose big-time.

I heard that statement also.
When all else fails, this seems to be the politically correct statement for one to use.
Shallow to say the least.

"Ignorance has a way of making it's presence felt."

CJ answers this question saying that "it is a good thing" ..and...if it were true (finding God) it would be.
What CJ fails to realize is that quite often the guilty "find God" just before sentencing.
Amazing isn't it?
CJ, its time to wake up and smell the coffee.
