That sounds like a whole breakfast more than anything. Instead rice use cream of wheat or oatmeal. Have a lunch meat sandwich between breakfast and lunch. For lunch have skinless chicken, vegetable of some kind and fresh fruit of some kind. Have a yogurt and/or fruit granola bar between lunch and dinner. For dinner have one piece of meat pork chops, steak or hamburger, whatever, with baked potato, and salad. Keep active throughout the day with exercise, walking, jogging with walking, or swimming and at the end of the week if you keep this up you will see some pounds lost. Just stick with it.

the brat diet sounds more like the starvation diet. Just eat balanced and portioned meals and you'll be fine.

This diet is intended for use when you are sick with an upset stomach, NOT for weight loss. It is fairly gentle on the digestive tract and gives the tummy a chance to "heal" from the upset.

This diet is used as a corrective measure for people with diarhea... So if this isn't the case for you, I'd take some fiber supplements...
