I cannot think of very many people who do not want better lives for themselves and for their families. Even very rich and wealthy people still work for more money and make profitable investments.

To be truthful, there will always be someone with more money than you and always someone with less money. Many people wish to excuse the crimes of illegal aliens on the basis of wanting a better life. My question is who doesn't want a better life? And why are only certain people allowed to break laws while in pursuit of better lives?

Wanting a "better life" is not justification for breaking the law, whether you agree with it or not. The prisons are full of people that broke the law to try to have a "better life".

We have no "unjust immigration law", the United States accepts more legal immigrants than any other country in the WORLD. Period.

BTW, since people justify breaking immigration laws because it's "too hard" to do it the legal way, where do you draw the line on breaking the law?

How about stealing or using a false ID so you can work to feed your family?

How about stealing from a bread truck or a bag of oranges from a vendor to feed your family?

How about breaking into a vending machine to get food to feed your family?

How about breaking into a change machine to get money to buy food to feed your family?

How about purse snatching?

How about breaking into a car to steal a purse on the front seat?

How about robbing a bank?

I am sure there are people that would justify some of the above crimes to feed their family. The prisons are full of people that did just this.

We have laws (including immigration laws) for a reason. Laws are to be followed. There is ONE way to immigrate, and that is legally. Period.

Everybody desires a better life sometimes and most often in a new environment. But how this is achievable becomes a problem. Some employ illegal means to reach this while other employ legitimate means.

Having a better life is a right of every living soul. This cannot be denied any person who wants to change environment to enhance living standards. This is precisely why countries have diplomatic relationships to facilitate movement to other countries and assist their citizens in a foreign land.

I feel in the event you desire a quite well existence with plenty of social help and a laid-again angle, cross to any of the Scandinavian nations or Canada. People there are so effortless going and not often get stirred up approximately some thing. As good, our economies and wellness care procedures, existence expectancy, and so on., are all lovely well.

Why are you trying to use logic and reason with people that support illegal aliens? Clearly, they are incapable of using logic or reason.

I admire your effort, but I fear it is an impossible task. You can't force the truth on people, especially when they blind themselves in hatred and ignorance.

it's not that. it's that they are poor and will starve to death if their countries don't do anything about it. so they would be desperate enough to cross borders illegally in search of a better life.

People born in most countries have many fewer opportunities to make something of themselves than people born in the United States. Most illegal immigrants are just looking for the chance to work hard and make halfway decent money, and for their children to have a chance at the American dream. Most of them come from countries which are excluded from the Green Card lottery, meaning that they have little or no chance of ever immigrating legally.

I would prefer it a lot if the number of legal slots per year were expanded a lot, but I suppose I see the immigration quotas we have in America as unjust laws, and breaking of them to be civil disobedience. Now, if someone just wants to sneak into the US to collect government entitlements, rather than to work, that bothers me a lot. However, the solution to that problem is entitlement reform, not exclusion of immigrants.
