Not like a "buff" six pack.... just like an outline

Well, you really cannot "spot exercise", meaning you really cannot work out just one area of your body and expect to get great results. There are many parts of your body that are inter-connected and you have to work everything else as well.
Having said that, make sure you are doing some cardio. In order to see the work that you are doing, you'd have to burn off as much belly fat as possible. Cardio (at least 1/2 hour per day, 3-4x per week) will burn fat all over and that's a good thing.
You also want to work your back (because essentially, it's the back of your abs). That gives you a good foundation for a great core. Your thighs are important as well...those muscles are directly related to your lower abs, so that might be an area of interest for you. (if you engage your core while doing leg exercises, you'll be able to feel the connection).
So, those two things - cardio and working out the other areas around your abs will help you with seeing some results...BUT I'm not making any promises. Genes also come into play with abs. Some people are not built to ever get a decent/defined 6 pack. So if it doesn't run in your family, don't be disappointed. Just have fun exercising! :-)
Good luck!

You're laboring under a misapprehension here. All the sit-ups in the world won't get you a defined midsection. If you want to show "cuts" in your abs you need to get your body fat percentage down around 13% or lower, and that takes diet and exercise. Doing cardio for 30-40 minutes a day is much more effective than sit-ups, and you MUST eat right. We all have six-pack abs -- it's that layer of flab sitting over them that you have to get rid of.

Do three units of approximately 30-35 crunches. Don't move ALL the way in which up and move up and down slowly. For a extra excessive figure out placed a weight behind your neck. Try to have a well nutrition to lose the fats in any other case you cant see any 6 % in any respect.

You'll need to do at least 100/day. Maybe even better to do 200 every other day, this way, you'll give your muscles time to heal.

But the most important is your diet. If you're slim already (single digit body fat %), then just do the sit-ups and keep watching what you eat.

Now if you do the sit-ups, but you have a layer of fat on your stomach, no matter how many you do, you're not gonna see your abs. Even if they're present. Doing sit-ups while a layer of fat is there, might even make your stomach LOOK bigger (even if you didn't gain fat).

Depends on how much subcutaneous fat you have around your mid section. Women tend to have more than men, so it would take longer for the cuts to appear, even If they have rock hard abs beneath.

The thing about fat is that you can't target where you want to lose fat. All the crunces you can do won't necessarily make belly fat go away. The way to get rid of belly fat is to simply burn off as much fat as one can, and, hopefully, the body will burn of some from your target area as well as every where else.

You can't only do sit ups to get a six pack. You need to run and do multiple types of ab workouts. Spot training is stupid you need to focus on your body as a whole. Abs don't matter if your chest is flabby and undefined.

About 100 but, I think you also have to do different kinds of sit-ups like in different positions and stuff.
