You must not forget that there is a U.S. Military presence in both Germany and Japan to this very day. You cannot rebuild a nation following a war and think "Okay, we're pull out of here in about five or ten years when things are settled."

If you want to ensure a lasting peace in Iraq then you should become adjusted to idea of a American presence in Iraq that is long term. Any U.S. politician who tells you that that he or she will withdraw U.S. Troops from Iraq is either lying through his or her teeth or a moron willing to involve us in a greater war at a later date.

We all know that Bush was never good in History . Napolean never learned when his army took over Moscow which was deserted and he suffered terrible losses when he had to withdraw. Winning a battle is much different that winning a war.

You mean just go with the cease fire agreement, keep troops there on the border going on 54 years later?
