On saturday, my urine was a weird yellow/orange color. I drank some water and a couple of beers Sat. night, and it was clear. The next day, same thing, and after the day progressed it cleared up. This am., dark yellow, but now clear after I draink a few cups of water. I have searched the net, and a lot of the answers say dehydration, but also possible liver problems. I had a function test conducted four months ago, and it was normal. My question is this: if it were a liver problem, would the dark yellow color be consistent, or is it likely dehydrations because the urine becomes clear after I drink water? Also, I feel fine. Thanks.

Without a Urinalysis from licensed medical personnel, you will probably not find the answer to which you seek.

Rough guess dehydration maybe a quality STD, just kidding.

It is dehydration. You are supposed to drink a gallon of water a day. Even more if you are doing a strenuous activity.

You might have Bilirubin in your urin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilirubin

You should probably have your urine tested. When they tested you did they do a complete blood test including your liver? I suggest going back to the doctor and having him test you again. Any problems with kidney stones in your family?
