Well, once I worked next to "one" and she loved to gossip and eat (alot), she talked about me and my lifestyle behind my back.

Lets start with some fundamental principles of Christianity. 1/ Hell: were, if you get it wrong, they send you forever to be tortured with no chance of growth or repentance or forgiveness. All Christians want out of Hell is pain and revenge. 2/ Evangelism: you're such a stupid and ignorant and retarded and sinful and useless jerk that they have to convert you. Doesn't matter if you are part of a recognized and established spiritual program like Judaism or Islam or Buddhism, you're a loser and have to be saved. Nobody is as good as a Christian. Its their way or they can do anything [see the Inquisition and other fun and games] they want to you do get you to 'believe'. 3/ If your not a Christian and with the plan of your sect, denomination, cult, etc, you're going to Hell. Doesn't matter if your a baby or the kindness person in the history of the Universe, your going to Hell because you don't 'believe the right way'. Of course, you can be a serial murder but if you say, just before they put the needle in your arm, "I believe", your off to Heaven.
I think 3 is enough for now, you know how the Christians are into "3's"

They show intolerance in a similar fashion to the blanket generalizations that some atheists make. It is always the most extreme elements of both camps that are the hardest to deal with. Grouping people in this way usually serves no constructive purpose.
Thank you for your question, but most of the intolerance I have received in life has not been a result of anyone's belief about God--just simple human pettiness and cruelty.

I'm sure the physicians they've killed for giving abortions feel they're a bit intolerant.
But in my life, the biggest intolerance I get is them brushing off my beliefs as "just a phase" or inherently worthless or evil. Sure, they can believe whatever they want as long as the call themselves Christian and say that they love Jesus. But no one else's beliefs are valid.
I've gotten responses everywhere from spitting on me to crossing the street to avoid me to being my "friend" so they can invite me to church, and then never speaking to me again if I don't feel like converting. These are the extremes. I know they don't exemplify more than a small portion of Christians, but it does make me a bit sour.

I don't know if this counts as intolerance, but I often like to discuss the contents of the Bible with my Christian friends. But every time I find a mistake or an illogical statement in there, instead of trying to explain it, my Christian friends often get all worked up and say they are being offended because I am saying that the Bible, and therefore their belief, is wrong. I find this really irritating because if someone asked me a question about my religion, I'd be happy to try and answer their query, and in so doing, increase their knowledge about my religion and clear away any misconceptions.

Some Christians and other religions show intolerance by thinking that their religion is superior or better to all religions, prejudice, and racism could also be ways that some Christians show intolerance.

Well the Catholics did show a great deal of tolerance towards pedophile Priests. It's when they wish to marry grown women, the intolerance is revealed.

You fail to mention that there are different types of christians, just as there are different types of non-christians. In this section of YA, you can certainly see the hatemongering, bashing atheists (rabid atheists), but from time to time, you can see the mature atheists, though they don't usually hang out in this section. I've seen way more intolerance from the rabid atheists than any christians I've ever encountered. As a christian, I'm not intolerant to gays or any other group. I have my own sins to deal with, other peoples sins are their own problem. I'm nobody's judge.

Everyone shows intolerance.
I have been witnessed to and people have tried to save me when I say I am an atheist. I lost a baby sitting job because the parents didn't want me to warp their kids (even though I never spoke to the kids about religion).
I know I have mocked and have been intolerant to people of various religions...

I was asked to leave a church, because at a mother's group I stated that I supported same sex marriage. Many Christians (not all) show intolerance by passing judgement on others. They conveniently forget that only those without sin can throw the first stone, and that we need to hate the sin, but love the sinner.
