(being as it is the woman who either produces 2 eggs at once or has the propensity to have her eggs split,
it really is carried on the female side of the genes . The chances are better that the girls will carry the gene for multiple births.

I have twin brothers, and my aunt on my moms side had twin girls (twin cousins)
none of her 15 grandchildren have had twins out of 9 births, but then I have 7 brothers. As the only daughter i dont have twins, but i have 4 kids.
My grand mother had no twins, but my great grandmother had twins .These are all fraternal twins , so the pattern seems to be every second generation. I suspect that my mother's grandchildren will be the ones filling the family tree with twins.

Hi, No you can't predict twins before you get pregnant. There are a lot of twins in my family on both sides, but i never had twins, and neither did my sister. My daughter is now pregnant and she is only having one baby, so it's the luck of the draw.

It could possibly be all of you or if its mainly the men who conceive them then it will possibly be your brothers or vise versa, I am in the same state my moms a twin and my nana has 2 sets of twins but its between me and my brother who will conceieve them :0)

It's not possible to predict that. It can skip you guys & then your children could be the one to have twins. You just can't call that one.

it's more likely that you or your sister to have twins, rather than your brother, cause the "trait" passes down to the girls in the family
