According to discovery.com: 1378 (if you lay in bed all day)

According to about.com: 1704 (no exercise at all) or 2045 calories (for moderately active person)

Go to the links below. They have calculators that allow you to calculate your basal metabolic rate (the number of calories per day your body burns) based on sex, age, height, weight and your activity level (on about.com).

Multiple your weight in pounds by 10:
116 * 10 = 1160 cals

Adjust for activity level: (10%-15%):
1160 +10% = 116 + 1160 = 1276

So you are burning about 1200 cals per day. However, that is not taking into account any exercise you may be doing. If you are exercising you need to adjust your percentage (10-15) up to a more moderate level.

Good luck!

go to www.calorieking.com it allows you to select many different activities from sitting to running to climbing stairs, then you put in your weight and height and it calculates about how many calories you should be burning. But remember everyones body is different. What is also cool is that it has a calorie counter too. Like if select carrots, corn, cake, or bananas it will tell you how many carbs, calories, fat etc are in them. Good luck!

about 1390 per day. I used this calculator to figure out your BMR or basal metabolic rate.

your BMR is 1385.2. If you stayed in bed all day you'd burn 1385.2 calories.
