Homosexuality and transsexuality are rooted in structural differences in the Hypothalamus, which are usually caused by chemical or hormonal interference during pregnancy. In our toxic world full of artificial growth hormones and pesticides and stuff, is it any wonder the percentage of gay and transsexual people is increasing? I'm transsexual myself, and personally, I blame all those KFC burgers my mom ate... ;-)

Yes, I did answer that question along these lines - and thought it would make a good question to ask the wider community.

Regardless of religion or beliefs regarding homosexuality and transgenderism, it seems to me that saying that gay and transsexual people are increasing because of chemical pollution is incredibly disrespectful to those people. Are you saying that they're freaks of nature? Mutants brought on by chemical pollution?
If anything, your argument seems to support the side that violently opposes alternative sexuality. If alternative sexuality is really just a result of "artificial growth hormones and pesticides and stuff" shouldn't we be focusing our efforts into finding a cure for this disturbing abnormality? Were I the type to religiously condemn homosexuality, this article would only convince me further that it was an abnormal, unnatural way of living.
I am a Christian who doesn't hate or condemn homosexuals or transpersons. I have many friends who are of alternate sexuality, and I find your argument offensive on their behalf. Please think through what you're saying, and the implications of your conclusions. This article doesn't say anything about homosexuality, it's talking about physical mutations of the genitalia that prevent the animal from reproducing. Likening a sexually alternative lifestyle to a toxic mutation is just plain rude.

There are over 6 and a million/2 billion human beings in the international and purely some extra suitable than one-0.33 of them join Christianity, broken down by employing Catholicism, Orthodox & Protestant which involves 5% of Christians. There are extra declared 'non-religious' mixed with atheists than professed Protestants. which ability there are extra or less 60% of all people who do not have confidence as you do. that is not a controversy yet purely a presentation of information. So it follows which you're very plenty in the international's minority of human beings who have opted to persist with your Lord. the easy and straightforward actuality is, that no be counted the way you contemporary it, no be counted how plenty you have confidence in it, many of the the remainder of the international does not. Your decision of words in featuring this question is itself a remark and admission of ways you seem to sense that Christians have the surprising to sentence..........who gave you that appropriate? you do not have the surprising to sentence them from now on than they do you? Take an prolonged look at your question, the information and then come to a decision why Christianity, after 2000 years is reducing as extra extremely everyone seems to be falling away and not in the direction of it.

I wouln't have had the nerve to open this line of discussion. It sounds too much like calling homosexuality a birth defect or a disability, which implies that you think there should be a cure for it.
But since you opened the dialogue, what do you think of that, as a transgender person? If doctors had been able to detect a difference in your hypothalamus, should they have begun aggressive treatment to make you "normal"? If you are the sort that doesn't support abortion as contraception, would abortion have been an option based on this kind of anomaly?

lol, well, I would not blame the diet!
But, yes, the hypothalamus section is significant evidence enough.
The part of the brain does not affect anything besides sex hormone release so it is neither a handicap and would be inaccurate to call it a disorder. Unfortunately, some people will never believe that "sin" is not a choice. Of course, these are the people that don't listen to evolution theories either.
It would help if they listened to science every once and a while.

Love the sinner, hate the sin!! I can't personally judge anyone...all I know is that in God's eyes, the people who involve transgenderism and homosexuality in their everyday lives are immoral and will be punished accordingly! Those who live this way, make their choice to live this way...it isn't all about the hypothalamus and chemical and hormonal interferences....it does come down to making a decision and a choice to live life in such a manner. If one is truly saved by believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as their savior there are changes that occur once this most important decision is made. A true christian who reads and understands the Bible will live their lives as God wants them to, and NOT how they want to. We are Temples of God, we are not our own....I will pray that you accept God's offer of salvation and that you change your ways...for your sake!
God Bless!! ( :

National Geographic?
If you want to offer a scientific argument, you'd be better linking to actual scientific research - like this, for example;
http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/85/5/2034
But there's no point in offering scientific evidence to religions objectors; "if it ain't in the Bible, it ain't so".
Just as well, then, that the Bible, in it's original text; didn't condemn homosexuality, or homosexual people, and didn't mention transsexualism at all...of course, those who'd rather believe deliberate mistranslations are beyond help.

Honestly I really can't say. As a Christian myself, I have no right to judge a person for their own choices. However it is a choice.
Same goes to all Christians. No one has the right to judge a person, no matter what choice they make, or to condemn them. That right belongs exclusively to God.
Before I met my friend Josh, I fully believed being gay was a choice. But I watched him struggle with it. He tried so hard to like girls, but he just couldn't. He wasn't attracted to them. He was attracted to boys. He was so afraid of what his friends would do if they found out the truth. He tried very hard to stay straight, but in the end, he just couldn't.
I still believe some people make a conscious choice to be gay. But now I'm not as sure as I was. I was not raised to condemn gay people, I was raised to not judge people and be fair. Because I have no right to judge them. We all make choices, some far worse than being gay, and I believe God loves us anyway.

I can't justify anything, religious. As a proud Christian, one who loves and follows Jesus Christ in a one on one relationship with Him, I find religion to be of great interference between an awful lot of people and a personal relationship w/ God.
I find it hard to believe we are intended for same sex relationships due to the rather inherent difficulty of procreation, for the bulk of human (or any other mammal) history.
But I don't condemn you. Jesus doesn't condemn you, either. Pray, a bunch, lol, He's a great friend!

Keep in mind that homosexuality is condemned not the person. As long as you draw breath you can positively be reconciled to God. Did you Know that it was common practice in biblical times for a conquering king to select the most capable of their captives and castrate them before enlisting them as servants? Remember Daniel of the bible ( the one the Babylonians threw into the lions den? Some biblical scholars believe Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were castrated before they were appointed to be personal servants for Nebuchadnezzar’s Government.

It is true that for some people, homosexuality is a natural thing and cannot be helped. I don't know about other religions but in Islam, such people are definitely not to be condemned, and even the Prophet Muhammaed (pbuh) said not to hurt their feelings as Allah Almighty will be most disappointed. However, some people who are born as heterosexuals find pleasure in sinning and so willingly commit certain acts which are prohibited in Islam. These are the ones who are to be condemened, if they are Muslims.
