Yes, it is a mental disorder that causes many physical disorders that can last for the rest of a person's life. If a person goes untreated for anorexia, starvation affects all areas of the anorexic's body, including the heart. Binge and purge type anorexics may induce vomiting or laxative abuse, which may have serious side effects to the digestive tract.

Anorexic women eventually stop menstrating (amenorrhea)and even after a few months of amenorrhea can start the process of osteoporosis which increases the risk of fractures and bone abnormalities.
Anorexia causes infertility, depression, skin abnormalities, kidney stones, etc.

It is starvation and the body begins to shut down the normal functions that keep a person healthy to protect itself. Some of these systems cannot rejuvenate themselves.

Anorexia is very very dangerous.

Yes! You starve your body. It can lead to countless medical problems during and after the time you stop eating. You might want to google anorexia for a good site that will tell you exactly what can happen and how fast lifelong medical problems can occur.

God, yes. You miss out on all of the important nutrients your body needs to grow and be healthy. It's an illness/disorder for a readon. Any eating disorder is "really that bad". Especially if you are in your teens and still growing.

It's not SO bad; as long as you don't mind death. Especially when it's your own.
