and since new people are continuously being born, does that mean there can be no second coming?

The second coming is a ridiculous myth in which, much like the character, god, only ignorant or uneducated people still believe.

no that's not what that means.
yes, Jesus will come back .... but when it is time & not a second before.

we now live in the age of grace BUT that will not last forever.
when the "fulness of time" is come, then Jesus will return.

1st of all, the great tribulation (this is satan's wrath, lasting for 31/2 years) has to happen....

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." (1 thess. 5:3)
(this is referring to satan's wrath - the great tribulation that begins in judea/samaria ... the west bank area of today. see matt. 24)

under the 5th seal in rev. 6:9-11,
those who have been killed for their belief in Jesus, ask how long it will be until He takes out reveange on those that killed them.

Jesus told those under the altar, "they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."

immediately after that, the 6th seal is opened & Jesus returns & pours out His wrath.

some people think that God is all talk ... saying He's going to come back & never does.

2 peter 3:3-9 addresses this issue, saying:

"there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, 'Where is the promise of his coming?'"

the answer:

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;

but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 peter 3:9)

scripture tells us the things that must happen before it is time for Jesus' return.
that is the purpose of biblical prophecy....
to prepare us ... for us to KNOW the times.

Jesus will only come as a "thief in the night" to those who are NOT prepared & ready.

"But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."

you are considered "brethren" if you are born again according to acts 2:38.

God will keep the commitment He made. All Biblical predictions have come to pass, and surely, before these took place, then also there were people who did not believe, they were the most unfortunate ones (read about Lazarus, who believed, and the rich man who didn't. Luke 16.19--31). So likewise, the Lord will come in His time,as promised, and as before, they will be some unfortunate ones who will refuse to believe.

In each generation God is allowing for people to come full circle in their lives to find Him. The time WILL come when Jesus returns.

That verse is terribly misinterpreted by most Christians. You are just pointing out how ridiculous their interpretation is. What it says, is that God is long suffering towards US (Christians), not willing that any (Christians) should perish, but that all (Christians) should come to repentance. It means when all the Christians are saved that will be saved, then He will come back.

Now I am finally seeing the light in all its fullness. I cannot believe how ridiculous this religion sounds now, from the other side of the looking glass.
