Of course there's not just one. There are nearly 7 billion people on the planet, what are the chances of ever meeting that one person?

There are MANY people that would make a great partner for anyone who desires to be part of a couple...and since all love is true (else it isn't really love) yes, one can indeed have many loves in a lifetime. The human heart has an infinite capacity to love (if its owner is open to it).

Ive heard that there is someone out there for everyone but I'm not sure if I believe that. My sister is single and she is 27. She doesn't want no kids or no husband at all. So I think I believe that there is that special someone that you'll spend a lifetime with out there for everyone that wants someone. :) the only downside of that is that you have to look and go through depressing stages until you find that person. but it is so totally worth it after you do

i honestly believe there is more than one person out there for everyone. but each person serves a different purpose. i do not believe in soul mates or anything like that. i just think certain people belong in your life and for different reasons. to say just one person was meant for you seems a bit ridiculous and a little sad to me. some people never get married. some people get married multiple times. at that point in time that person may be the love of your life. but as humans we are constantly growing mentally and can grow and want different things. so i believe there are several people out there.

Society teaches you that when you marry you must have one love. Realize that everyone is different. If you are a monogamous person, you will love one person. Some people have strong connections with multiple people. It is just personal preference. Your question boils down to culture and society and how they view your question. In America, you are told to only have one, in other cultures, it may be multiple. What do you believe?

I have known people to have more than one marriage because their first partner passed away and had an awesome second and sometimes third marriage.
I think there is only one true love.. but you can love others as the years go by, especially if they have passed away.
(on the other hand divorce doesn't always help you find your true love since you don't know what you want).

If you lived in Maine, you would find someone. If you moved to California, you would eventually get involved with someone. If you joined the military and got stationed in Australia, you would meet someone and fall in love.

Some relationships are better than others but I believe there is more than one soulmate out there. Nothing is perfect but people do find each other, if they want someone.

There may indeed be more than 1 particular person out there for each of us but whether he is THE one or 1 of a few, my husband is indeed a soulmate without question!

I think you can have more than 1 in your lifetime. You will probably never truly lose the love for them if you break up and love another though. They will always have a special place in your heart.

I do not believe in soul mates...I feel that there are several people out there that could be your true love, and you could be with for the rest of your life. I do not think there is only one person for each of us!
