Is there a signal to let the car behind you know that their high beams are on and they are blinding you?

I have a serious case of road rage, and sometimes I want to just stop in the middle of the street and get out the car and cuss the person out, but I know thats not a good idea :-)

Is there another way I could tell them to turn their high beams off??!!

I seriously considered setting up some kind of mirror or reflection device in my rear window, that I could raise and lower by remote control, so I could shoot those high-beams right back into the eyes of the inconsiderate butthead behind me.

don't know of any signals for it. but if it really is bothering me i will pull over at a safe spot and let them drive past. this also works for tailgaters. for the people with there high beams on i think they have just forgotten. and we all make mistakes at some time or other. so i find its not worth getting angry over. as for tailgaters oh well. i don't have time to be angry at them either. But I sure Hate People that drive slow or fast that won't move out of the left lane. to let me go bye. cause they feel that they should control the speed limits. that's what cops are for.

I use the little clip on the mirror. On one of my vehicles, without this feature, I just adjusted the mirror and the lights reflected back at the high beam user. Always seemed to get their attention.

There are a couple of signals.... but you are right... Thats just road rage...lol

Have a look on your rear view mirror and you will see a small lever. If the following car has its lights on, flick the lever down and the lights will appear dimmed.

Hope that helps.

well yeah it sometimes bothers me if they had their high beems on, but what i do i sometimes adjust the interior mirror, or i could put hazard lights on JUST 2 BLINKS! if he didn't understand open the window, take your arm out, raise it high and open your hand all 5 LoL then close it then open it again!!? yeah use that sign it means your head lights are blinding me! it always works! BUT hope that the driver is not an idiot! LoL

The previous respondant had the best idea. Assume that they don't realize they are annoying you, and "flick" between the various options on your rear view mirror. If they attentive, they will notice that you are "flicking" your mirror and assess their own role.

You next step is to encourage them to pass you and move on to their next victim. I'd skip the parts about deliberately "pissing off" other motorists.

just slow down until they get pissed off enough to pass you and if they pass you and flick you off or cuss at you hit your high beams on.

Rebel it's standard to flash them back with your own high beam. ....not too long though
