it depends on your concept or on how you want your restaurant to be. colors introduce moods and psychological effects:

RED - connected to battle, blood, fire, and warmth, in history it represents royalty, majesty, and triumphs.

YELLOW - being nearest to sunlight, connected with cheers and springtime. Yellow claims attention first and fastest

ORANGE - baing made of yellow and red, gives association of light and heat. It is the color of pride and ambition.

VIOLET - color of loyalty and has a strong religious significance. It is used as half-mourned. By association it gives a feeling of mystery. It is the color of shadow.

GREEN - being composed of yellow and blue, presents a feeling of light and coolness, cheers and rstraint. It is the color of nature as usually seen. Green alleiates tension.

BLUE - stands for coolness, repose, formality; it is associated with the sky, the ocean, and ice. It has always been the symbol of truth and purity.

If you have small space, avoid dark colors, it will make the room smaller, use light colors, or you may add mirror, to make an illusion.

It depends on a few factors. What type of atmosphere, decor and furnishings, type of food you will be serving, etc... More info needed. I mean if you are trying to make a certain environment or feel (modern, Mediterranean, festive, etc). Color has different psychological effects on people as well. Hence hospitals favor green as it is considered calming. Many people choose to paint the kitchen yellow thinking it is bright and cheerful , however studies have shown that more arguments begin in a yellow kitchen than any other color. Consult a professor at a nearby college or university that teaches a color class. It is a required class for most fine arts degrees and they should be able to steer you in the right direction. preferably a color that inspires them to eat more! Good luck! Would love to hear more from you!

Bright colours that are versatile. That way, you can save on electricity during the day. It would also help to brighten up your restaurant during the night without much light.

You should check on how Starbucks do all these energy consumption thing. They are really good at it.
