My parents aren't together anymore but when they were still they named me after a Native American Apache woman who was a warrior named Lozen.

No I can't say that I do. But that's so cool that your name represents a woman warrior. I wish my parents would have gave me a name with meaning. My children WILL have a name with a meaning. Think of all the extra essay topics you have over classmates. Just by your name. That's hot & your so fortunate.

I've never heard of that one, but at least they put thought and some research into a name for you. My mom and her lack of creativity decided that Jennifer and Jason were the popular names in the 80's and so that's what me and my bother were called...... Do you know how confusing it is to be in 3rd grade (ahem, back in my "day")and in a class with 6 other Jennifers?

I think you carry a great honour in your name. For your parents to have felt ,as you started the magical journey of your life, that you could carry that name with pride, showed that they had great love for you.
I shall remember your name, research it and tell my students how somebody felt pride in an Apache woman and honoured her by naming their daughter after her.
