I haven't had a real BF and GF relationship in about 2 1/2 years. (By choice). But now I have recently started dating a guy about 2 months now. (But have know each other 1 moth prior in my past I have had trust issues with men. (Due to a pass rape) I have told him about my trust issue but I can honestly say that I have no trust issue with him at all. But now that I’m feeling that everything is going great between us. I just don't want to mess things up. I have always joked with my GF about relationships. I would say I can't keep a man but I surely can get rid of one. But now I want so bad to keep this one. I’m struggling with my own insecurities on how to keep a healthy relationship with this guy. His brother is a well know music artist in Houston and his brother (my BF) is also on his label. So this means a lot of clubbing on his part and mine. We are always in the lime light together. I’m still trying to get use to this type of life style, but he understands that this is something I

to. But what I’m wanting to know are some signs that maybe things are going good are things could go down hill.
Here are some Pro’s and Con’s about our relationship.

Pro’s- We see each other at least 2 times a week, talk on the phone at least 3 times a day. (This is done on both parts)
He has introduced me as his girlfriend to everyone we ask.
I catch him looking at me while I sleep.
I don’t have to want for anything.
He wants me to travel with him and his brother.
And he say’s he wants me

Con’s- He travels every weekend
GROUPIES
Not really that much, still looking but can’t find too much.

Is there anything that I can do to make sure this relationship stays happy? Any advice from ppl that have a strong relationship with there life partner. What might be some sign things are going bad. And no smart remarks please.

When you two can talk things thru and see things from both points of view is a sign of a healthy relationship.
Communication is really important to helping a relationship survive. If you feel that is really good between you, then your off to a good start.
Sounds like he may be exposed to a lot of temptation in the form of Groupies but if he really cares about you and is a strong man then you have no need to worry about them.
Good relationships take time and effort to build and need trust, communication and love to survive. If your both prepared to put these things in then you have a good chance.
Relationships usually break down when one of those things disappear .

Yea don't get caught up to much on the "happy" bs, thats not a real relationship. One of the biggest problems people have with geniune relatonships is that they see to much perfection, they see nothing wrong with them, they see to much darn ROMANCE!!! And hunnie romance is only part of the love it isn't all of it. Like you for example and your insecurities do to being not only took advantage of but RAPED!!! Thats a big deal and you being able to communicate honestly (that doesn't mean HAPPILY!!!! NOT AT ALL!!!) how this influences you and your views of man, is EXTREMELY important, because thats the REALITY of love, thats more love (tell him about it, trusting him enough to understand, and also, trust YOU, afterwards, to still love him) then your romance, its actually true love, to relate yourself honestly and heartfeltly weather its a good thing or a bad thing. Short of that, and its just going to be a struggle to hide the truth not only from him but yourself. Also realize that your already past the courtship phase when its only been about 3 months... almost ready to marry? SLOW DOWN!!! Thats a serious huddle you need to get past!!! Thats why I'm always telling people to be friends frist then lovers, because thats something you'd have no trouble talking to your friend about, when you NEED to talk about it with him, and I'm not talking about the experience as much as the truth about what it makes you feel about him. Short of that, its going to be hard to fake that happiness, but then agains thats the style of our 75% divorce rate society, so you'd be doing nothing but being normal within our society to just pretend and hang in there, accepting all that wonderful bliss!!! Crazy how love can make the heart blind, but the mind troubled......
