you are going to hell. I get alot of that when I ask a Christian question on my replies I get from non believers and I am asking a sincere question. Not judging no one. We are not to judge others because we do not know what God has instore for those. God could open your eyes tomarrow or today. He did mine. God Bless

i was told it regularly at school. i wasn't an angel, but i wasn't one of the mean and nasty kids. i was the only kid who openly said that i didn't believe in god though, it was a catholic school. as well as being told i was going to hell, i was made to clean out the boiler room coal pile, locked in the chapel during lunch, my arm twisted up behind my back and my face smashed into a desk, (by a christian brother), hit on the head several times with the chalk eraser, had my school work ripped up by a teacher in front of the class for being godless filth, ( it wasn't porno, it was an essay on the nativity that pointed out some of the contradictions between the gospels). i was caned for insubordination and impertinence, (they still had corporal punishment in the UK then). and to top it all i was expelled just before my final exams for disruptive behaviour, ( i said the trinity was a silly idea and none of the explanations i had been given made any real sense at all, and they still don't they're metaphysical mumbo jumbo).

i like episcopalians, quakers and unitarians. also most of the run of the mill apathetic christians are OK, but i have found that really committed doctrinal christians are mean spirited, malicious, self righteous, spiteful and blinkered when their beliefs are questioned or criticised. by the way i was a non believer before i arrived at the school so you can't blame the trauma for my atheism.

I would never tell anyone that because I don't know if they are or not, only God knows that. He knows the hearts of every soul and I just try to let people know about Jesus and eternal life so they have the chance at eternal life in heaven. That's what Jesus came for, and what he wants us to do. Go out into the world and spread the truth.....which is the Word of God. God Bless.

& tell me what ?

Oh, tell me I'm going to hell ?

Well, I've had a few Christians come up and tell me that if I didn't accept Jesus I wouldn't be saved, and if I'm not saved, then I'm going to hell, right ?

No matter what euphemism they put on it, it is still telling someone they are going to hell, if you tell them they aren't "saved" or whatever.

But really, it's only been a handful, I've also had obnoxious encounters with Hare Krishna's, Scientologists, and other assorted whackos.

Thank you for finishing the question.

I've had Christians come up to me and tell me that I'm going to hell, some when they go door to door other times my own family and most of the time through E-mail.

That I'm the greatest guy ever, and they were kind of wondering, if I wasn't doing anything later that night, if I could be their new Messiah? Oh, it happens all the time.

Edit: Oh, that. I think it was five at last count.

Oh, I hate it when they tell me "you". Just hate it!!!

EDIT: I had a feeling there was more the question... :-)

I've never had a Christian tell me that. I think you've been listening to the "atheist persecution complex" folks here too much?

Nope, I've never had this happen. That's because most Christians won't do this in person, it's unchristian-like.

I do that myself many times during my door to door witnessing ministry, and in the down town Dallas area.
