That some people on R&S are only quoting the O.T. and not
the N.T. Is there more fire and brim stone on here, Then
amazing grace and the love message of Jesus.
"Jesus Wept." I think he still weeps.

I think you are right.
I am a complete non-believer in ANY God and I know that I can find all kinds of really cool verbal ammunition to use against theists professing God's love in the OT.
However, like any thinking atheist, I view the book as a STORY. It is not true, it is apocryphal and all the stories therein should be taken with a pinch of salt.
it behooves us, as intelligent people not to contradict ourselves by saying the Bible is fiction and there is no God, then in the same breath, quoting Bible verses that paint God as a vengeful jealous God as though they are Gospel.

We cannot have it both ways, so I prefer to keep the Bible as a STORY BOOK which I can read and enjoy the same way I read Frederick Forsyth books, Dan Brown books or Conn Iggulden books. I then also maintain my belief that there is no God and do not muddy the water by using certain Bible verses for my own arguments, when I have previously debunked their veracity.

I quote only New Testament. In the NT, Jesus speaks of hell very often. That should tell you something about your "theory"

Jesus has his fire and brimstone messages anyway (besides, at least the OT is time-tested, and mildly more legitimate than the NT for it).

I'm sorry, but is the OT not the word of God? You can't push the whole story and then leave out the beginning b/c it's ugly.
