I currently pay her medical and dental + support. Mom says I can deduct since she doesn't work. I want to know if I have her sign the form saying I may claim her as a dependent, may I also claim head of household status come income tax filing season?

No, you can't claim head of household if she doesn't live with you. But with her mom's written permission you can claim your daughter as a dependent.

You can easily check with the IRS to determine the current requirements, but I believe that if you pay more than half of her support you can claim her as a deduction.
Make a simple call to the IRS to be sure.

First-spell properly.
Then, go to www.irs.gov and download the info you need, but if you don't have custody, you can't file head of household.
