The best thing to do if you really want to know the truth is to read the Bible.
Anything a man says can be corrupted(Jeremiah 17:9 - 'The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked:who can know it?'),it would need to be tested in accordance with Scripture to know if what is being said is accurate.
Truth = Romans 3:23,Luke 13:3 and 5,Romans 10:9.

The living Prophet, Gordon B. Hinkley, wears a business suit. He has spoken on street corners in his youth, but he doesn't shout. He has delivered a message of hope and peace.

There are no prophets today. There were no prophets in the 1800's (Joseph Smith) and there were none 1400 years ago (Muhammed). I would say John the Baptist was the last prophet according to Biblical definition.

No no to lots of the different solutions all religious presents proceed yet as paul reported u would desire to seek for them u dont basically poof get them at salvation. i for my section dont save up on prophets i song healers extra yet i understand the call of one international renown (in christian circles) prophetess Patricia king As for the final present any Christian with the Holy Spirit would provide prophecy, i will prophecy the purpose of prophecy is to not provide new "biblical information" those ppl are fake ie jws. the purpose is to edify exhort and inspire ppl with Gods loving words in the direction of them. a million cor 14:3 yet anyone who prophesies speaks to adult males for his or her strengthening, encouragement and convenience.

Prophets are biblically called "Servants"(slaves);
Differ nothing from child-ren: them who know not,
and thereby get tossed to<-->fro, by law<-->law.
Servants: they know not what their master doeth.
Children: forgive them, they know not what they do.
Both still need to be told, what to do, and don't do.
Both know nots are spiritually immature, not mature.
So the higher grace exhortations from above law law are:
- thou art no more a servant: neither of 2 servants in Rom 6.
- be no more children: neither of 2 children: Mt 13 & Rom 9.
Revelation of J-->C is to "shew unto his servants(prophets)"
what adding "law worketh wrath" to "grace is sufficent" does.
The God many prophets hear is awful lawful God on high;
Not the higher God in heaven: "higher than the heavens".
There's a difference between Prophecy & Prophesy,
Which is as the difference between Law and Grace,
which is as the difference between Gloom & Groom;
In which (law/grace) things are an "allegory": Gal 4.
Whether Prophecies, they shall fail: 1Corinthians 13:8
So Prophesy unto men: edify-->exhort-->unto comfort.
Prophecy tears down, fr comfort(grace) to discomfort(law).
Prophesy builds upward, from dis-comfort to comfort(only).
There is no discomfort at all in "the God of all comfort".
There is no law law at all in "the God of all grace".
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus-->Christ with you-->all. Amen.

there is a fine line between a personal, living relationship with God and dellusional behavior.
Here is the key. When you are in tune with God and 'hearing' His voice, external circumstances in your life will change, and bend themselves to your will in ways that cannot be explained by coincidence.
In other word, a force, outside your own creation, works in your life to assure you, from time to time, that you are on the right path.

You evidently refer to Jesus and Mohammed. Gods do not exist. Prophets say they speak for gods, so they lie. Men who claim gods speak to them are either nuts or cynical con men.
