No that is an urban legend

No, it is not true. However, I have had some Cuban immigrants tell me that they were told they would be given homes and loans if they came to America. Boy, were they disappointed when they got here. Catholic Social Services does offer some support for Catholic immigrants upon arrival such as helping them to find jobs and housing.

No. There is no such animal as a free loan. Something that is free would be a grant and that is not available either. There is no special program for legal immigrants that is not also available to citizens.

No, it's not true. My family sure as hell didn't get any loan to start our lives here, free or otherwise. No immigrant I know has got one, either.

LEGAL Immigrants come in different flavors.
Depends on their visa.

Technically, a Visitor on a 90 day Visitor's Visa is a legal immigrant..can he/she get govt. aid? Probably not.

A Legal Immigrant with more permanency could likely get something. Nothing wrong with that.

ALL PEOPLES (white, black, hispanic, etc..) came to this country and at one point or another relied on someone, the govt., self, etc... to make it here. It's not easy, so it's a good thing that such programs exist. If these things weren't available, then we'd still be living like in the movie "Gangs of New York"

What's so bad about my answer? It's true.

Absolutely not true. It's one of those urban myths started by anti-immigration supporters.
If anyone disagrees, please provide information of where those loans can be obtained because I could sure use one.

No. They're illegal. By the way, and just out of curiosity. Why are you so obsessed with the illegals? I haven't seen any other type of question posted by you.

If not free, they are very low interest. This has been going on for decades. I remember everyone screaming about the boat people.
