I'm not a super-sensitive, over emmotional person, but I'm kind of having a tough time. I still have very strong feelings an ex-girlfriend and we went out together on Saturday night. The problem is that she is now in another very serious relationship and I realize in my mind that it couldn't work out. Still, everything inside me is telling me different. Its like a battle between my mind and feelings. I'm not a p*ssy or anything, but have a tough time accepting reality on reality's terms.

Emotions are too strong sometimes to make rational decisions, you just have to be tougher.

It's incredibly difficult to get over someone you once loved! You wouldn't be such a good person if you could just shut your feelings for someone else off! The fact that she's in a serious relationship right now is probably eating you alive. You know that things can't go back to the way they were...but still...the memories of the way things were seem like yesterday. I've been there. It's hard to see the person that you were once inseperable from...with someone else. You think, "Oh...I can have them back in a second." That's not the case though. People move on. I suggest you do the same. You can't go back...and it didn't work out for a reason. Enjoy the memories you have, but realize she's happy now. You'll find happiness too. Good luck!

The heart is fickle! Wanting what it can't have, making it difficult to function without bringing up past emotions. Unfortunately, that is the sorry case for many of us. Our hearts and mind's constantly in a battle that is a lose-lose for everyone. All I can tell you is to just let it go, every time these emotions try to come up and bother you, try very hard to push them aside. I use it when a distasteful memory comes up, I almost have to will myself not to think about it and think of something else. It's not easy, but eventually, you wont be where you are now. Time heals everything, may it be confusion, frustration, or just plain missing a love one.

when we love someone, and even after we break up, we just can't toss our feelings into the trash. many times, the ex remains in our hearts forever, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing...

she's an ex for a reason, and now with someone else for a reason... you really need to realize this.... and move ON with your life.

i have to wonder why you tortured yourself Saturday night by going out with her ?

take care of YOU.. no one else will, hon.

ok first...emotions are running your life... it happens to almost everyone at some point...emotions will always overrun your common sense and better judgement if you don't learn to listen to yourself...

It sux pretty bad sometimes feeling one way and knowing its going to go other way...you need to find a distraction. something what is going to keep you going in a different direction.
