You believe that Christ is the only answer, and so do I, but being critical of the beliefs of others will never turn others to Christ. Christ himself won others by ministering to the needs of others and sharing real truth with them.

What makes it true? 0 degrees Celsius is 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Both numbers represent the same thing but are in different systems. If Christianity is the "only truth" how are there so many other faiths? Maybe they're all wrong. Maybe they're all right. Your boast of blind faith impresses me and also confuses me because it borders on fanaticism. Have you ever questioned your beliefs? Obviously not if you can find the time to ask what it is all of us non-believers are questioning. Don't worry about why we don't believe, worry about why you do believe.

Yes they do think about the fact that you think it is the only truth. That is one of the contentions.

Another idea is that there *is* no 'absolute truth', there is only cause and effect and natural laws.

But there are many paths to personal enlightenment and wisdom? Not all of them are about the text of some bronze age, tribalistic, misogynistic and smite-happy desert-dwelling Daddy-worshippers. Morals came before and after religion, and they are not absolute, as has been shown as religion changes with time just as do secular laws.

I believe there may be different levels of consciousness and maybe even reality. But unless I have proof, it is worthless to you, and a mystery to me. One difference is, I don't believe that you were born into 'sin', but you *know* that I was, because your book says so. Etc

Obviously the biggest difference is that you believe a book that states plainly that anyone who disagrees with it is wrong and are going to burn. Now, how could I possibly put such a statement down??? It's not like Christians ever really burned anyone, is it??

...oh..er..

C'mon, think man, think!

Like A Cow below, the mind is a terrible thing to waste....

Just look at your grammar and spelling. How can you be taken seriously? Nevertheless I will answer. People attack Christianity (not Christians) or any religion which claims to be the only absolute truth because they can't produce any evidence whatsoever, not a shred. Nothing. So it's begging to be attacked. Provide some evidence please. You don't need to prove your god, just show evidence that Jesus did real miracles, or if that is too difficult, I'm sure your god at least left you some evidence that Jesus even existed. We don't need to have faith in the existence of a man you know, if he is history then prove it.

Do you ever really think about what others believe? Of course not.

Everyone's religion is different. Even a room full of christians would all believe in different gods because everyone's beliefs vary alittle bit from person to person.

Truth is in the eye of the beholder.

If i believe there is no god as strongly as you believe there is, Who are you to tell me i'm wrong?

Do you ever really think about how ridiculous it is that you believe you have the only correct answer to a question that has plagued humanity since it's inception? Is it collective arrogance on the part of christians or is it personal ego?

A Christian who knows his God will recognize that the Holy Spirit was sent to do three things by the will of God:
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.
(John 16)

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would come:
"Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you."

He will when he comes, convict the world :
8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:
9 in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10 in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

What those who do not realize that Jesus is the truth are lacking is the ability to believe. They do not have the will of the Father involved.

Of this Jesus said:
44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: 'They will all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me. (John 6)

So they do not listen to the Father, and I would say most of those who are quibbling are not drawn by the Father: He doesn't draw them to Him. God wants certain people, and as the Holy Spirit works differently in the non believer, He works in giving knowledge to the believer.

Remember that the world hates you, but that they hated our Lord before it hated us (John 15), so we shouldn't be weary of well doing (Galatians 6:9) , but preach Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:23) , which is the power of God (Romans 1:16).

I think you can´t talk about only truths, God (according to Christians) show up to people in different ways, for some it is Buda, for others Rhana, but he is the same God. You can´t judge people for not believing what you believe. Remember that is how wars start. Tolerance and freedom of belief are the only way towards peace.

Yes I do think about it quite often but I don't agree that it's the only true religion. Every person has to find their own path and what works for one may not work for another. It's not up to you, me or any other person to decide who is right or wrong. Each individual is responsible only to and for themselves.

You are being very short-sighted. Every religion believes that theirs is the only truth. The only safe thing to do is not to believe at all and use the complete lack of evidence of a God as your armor if at any time, by some freak occurrence, God actually DOES exist.
This way, you will know that you have critically thought about God's existence with your (God-given) brain and if He judges you for that, then he is a mean and vengeful God who did not deserve to be worshiped in the first place.
