The purpose of Christianity was first used to gain power and slaughter thousands of muslims to take their land. Now it is more commonly used as a way to keep the peace with simple people who believe in jesus. I believe that God is smarter than the bible and the simple minded christians believe him to be.

The challenge is that the church has turn out to be liberal in its pondering and has watered down the gospel. The common man or woman at present does now not particularly appreciate the level of what Christ did for us. If they did then there could be a burning want to proportion this well information with our peers and acquaintances. Many (regularly such a lot) "Christians" at present are not able to specific what they suppose in. This is customarily because of a submit-cutting-edge tradition that believes in relative fact wherein you'll be able to suppose what you suppose and I can suppose what I suppose and each are similarly legitimate. This is a major breech of common sense and usual experience. Since they themselves do not know what they suppose then how can they inform any one else? Since they do not particularly suppose in some thing in any respect, there isn't a well information for them, so they've no want to inform someone else. The church has obvious a shift for the duration of this time from being Christ-founded to being self-founded. There are plenty of "believe well" sermons in the market that train how God could make you wealthy and the way he could make you all you'll be able to be. This isn't the actual gospel. The precise gospel teaches our wickedness, our dependance on God and obedience to God. These aren't trendy subjects such a lot of pastors are leaving them out. The well information is that God consistently has a remnant. There are a few very well church buildings in the market, even though NONE are ultimate. Some of them are even big, megachurches.

Like several of the others, I am not sure what you are asking! On the other hand, in one single question, you've managed to offend and confuse Atheists, Agnostics, Christians, Catholics, and Jehovah's Witnesses all at once! Congrats! lol!

Christianity basically says that all people are born imperfect, and need a Savior to solve that problem. Jesus Christ was God's solution, and His followers are called Christians. Read the gospel of John for more detail. God bless you in your search for the truth.

i will just give you my view of what a christian should be and what i think the purpose of christianity is. more or less you go to church and a preacher or somebody might try to dictate to you what the Bible means and that it should be taking literally, which it shouldn't. christians should follow Jesus' teachings along with the ten commandments etc.
christians should accept all forms of people, they should be open minded, they shouldn't judge other people, and learn that forgiveness is a big part of the religion. that is why christianity is so confusing because people judge other people all the time whether it be race, sexuality, social class, which is total hypocracy which seems to be one of the big things jesus is against and probably the reason God is mad.
because all of his teachings are getting scorn and people aren't wanting to accept Him because his so called "followers" are contradicting all of his teachings but want to call themselves messengers of God....which they aren't christians by any means that are just wolves in sheeps skin like Jesus predicted there will be.. now im not saying all churches are bad, or all people that call themselves christians aren't, but you will be able to spot a fake one from a mile away.

Catholics ARE Christians!

I'm not against god because I don't think your god exists. To be against your god, I'd have to think he exists in the first place.

You know, a brain is a terrible thing to waste.

And stop the idiotic "Catholics aren't Christians" crap. Its time to grow up and stop acting like a whiney child. The only thing it takes to be a Christian is belief in Christ and his teachings.
