The Lutheran and Anglican Church, which are reformed Catholic Churches (1530 AD), do allow its priests to marry.

The word priest is still used in European and orthodox Lutheran churches. The Lutheran church you have in America is watered down and tries to distance itself from the Catholic church - when in fact they are the reformed Catholic church.

As a Lutheran, I have no problem with today's catholic Church - it is not the same church of the 15th and 16th century.

The only way to find the truth is to get the information from the source. This is true in anything. If you really want answers about Christianity, you must ONLY get your information from the Bible. If it is from any other source, it is only an opinion and nothing more.

By "learning" about Christianity from the media, you are actually getting false information because the Devil is the ruler of this world at present. He uses all of his wordly ways to blind the minds of men so they cannot learn the truth.

John 14:30, (Jesus speaking to his Apostles) 30 I shall not speak much with YOU anymore, for the ruler of the world is coming. And he has no hold on me,

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things (The Devil) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through

Within the Christian church there are three major divisions. The Roman Catholic church (which includes about half of the Christian churches) does not allow priest to marry.

However the Protestian churches (which include groups like the Baptist, Methodist, Lutherns, etc) do allow marriage. Also the Orthodox churches (which are found mostly in Asia).

The term "priest" is normally used for the Catholic church heads. The Protestants usually are called "ministers", "reverends", or "pastors" instead of priest.

Well, for example, take the movie Signs. Mel Gibson is a priest, but he had a wife and kids, right? But his character is Episcopalian, not Catholic. Episcopalian priests are allowed to get married and have children, they don't take a vow of celibacy like most Catholic priests.

In the Bible, there are no Christian priests that are appointed as such while in the flesh.

There are Christians that will after their resurrection be Priests with Christ, our high priest. (Heb 3:1)

Also, there is a Biblical condemnation of those who forbid to marry -- thus, if a church has this arrangement, it has gone astray -- as it seems every church has in some way or another.

I Timothy 4:1-3, But the Spirit speaks expressly, that in latter times some shall apostatise from the faith . . . 3forbidding to marry . . .(Darby)

Many popes in the dark ages had mistresses, but the Roman Catholic church does not allow its ordained ministers to marry. There are a few new exceptions in certain diocese where those who have already been married have been ordained, but this is hardly common practice.

I all happened because of one scripture in the bible , that was misunderstood by catholics and taken completely out of context. Paul says that he prefers to not be married, so that he can have more time to devote to God. That was never what God required of us. Then the Catholic Church went with that rule and forbid priests to marry. All other denominations agree with God and allow their ministers to marry. We know that it is impossible to minister to married couples, if you have never experienced marriage yourself. God knew that too.

In the Catholic Church, priests do not marry. Some other Christian communities, such as the Episcopalians, call their ministers "priests", and they may be married.

Different denominations use the term "Priest". Only the Catholic versions are prohibited marriage. Lutheran and Anglican/Episcopalian are two denominations I can think of off the top of my head....
