It really depends on how old the baby is, if they're real young they may not laugh. Try silly little things like: peek-a boo, make goofy faces, & tickle them but don't over do the tickling, I've heard that too much tickling will actually cause them pain.

Singing, making funny faces, peek-a-boo, funny noises, pat-a-cake, This Little Piggy (with the toes), Round and Round the Garden (on the hand), puppets and stuffed toys.
Good luck, they're so cute when they laugh for the first time!

I found out a long time ago that most babies love to be tickled especially in the tummy. They just give a nice giggle that makes them more adorable!

I always used to hide behind the door of my son's room and say, Yoo Hoo! he couldn't see me, but he heard me. Then when I peeked around the corner of the door, just a little, he could see it was me and laughed out of relief ( I think)

Most children find "peek-a-boo" games most amusing and any time you hide your face, then say "boo", you surprise them with delight.

My son laughs when I hold him up to the mirror and make faces at him. Also, when I make funny noises, tickle him or blow on his belly.
