does he come round often?
if and when he does just chat to them both
ask what they have been up to/what they are doing at the weekend? etc
After a few chats they might invite you along somewhere out with them :)
might take a few weeks to get to know him

As A matter of fact,do it rarely.No point in butting in unless they insist.Try and create your own circle of people and stick with them.
